DeskHydrate (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a hydration reminder app built for office workers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use DeskHydrate.
1) Information We Collect
DeskHydrate is designed to work primarily offline and store data locally on your device.
A. Information you provide
Hydration logs (e.g., water intake amounts and timestamps)
Preferences (e.g., work hours, reminder schedule blocks, cup size, goal, reminder style)
Optional notes/inputs you enter inside the app (if any)
B. Automatically collected information
We do not intentionally collect personally identifiable information (like your name, phone number, or contacts) by default.
Depending on your device and OS, certain technical information may be processed by system services (e.g., notification delivery), but we do not receive that information unless you contact us directly.
C. Purchases (if Pro is enabled)
If you purchase DeskHydrate Pro through Google Play, transactions are handled by Google. We do not receive your full payment details (like card number). We may receive limited purchase status information (e.g., whether you have an active subscription) to enable Pro features.
2) How We Use Information
We use app data solely to:
Show your hydration progress and history
Calculate goal completion, streaks, and “water debt”
Schedule reminders and meeting-safe mode
Provide Pro features (if purchased)
3) Notifications
DeskHydrate sends reminders using your device’s notification system. You can disable notifications anytime in:
DeskHydrate settings, and/or
Your device notification settings.
4) Data Storage and Security
Your hydration logs and preferences are stored locally on your device.
We do not upload your hydration data to our servers (unless you later add a cloud sync feature and explicitly opt in).
You are responsible for securing your device. If your device is shared, others may access your local app data.
5) Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.
We may share information only if required to:

6) Data Retention
Data remains on your device until you delete it from the app or uninstall the app.
If the app provides a “Reset/Delete Data” option, you can remove stored data at any time.
7) Children’s Privacy
DeskHydrate is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8) International Users
If you use DeskHydrate from outside India (or your home country), your data still remains on your device. Purchases are handled by Google Play under their policies.
9) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website and/or within the app with an updated effective date.
